Keeping Your Algorithm Institute Account Safe
Account security is a shared responsibility between Algorithm Institute and its users. Your actions play a crucial role in keeping your account safe.
Use a Strong, Unique Password
Create a password at least twelve characters long with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Avoid reusing passwords across websites. Use a password manager.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of protection. Logging in requires both your password and a temporary code from your phone or authenticator app.
Recognize Phishing Attempts
Be suspicious of messages asking for your password or payment details. Algorithm Institute will never ask for your password via email. Check sender addresses carefully.
Monitor Active Sessions
Your account settings show active sessions with device and location. If you see an unrecognized session, terminate it immediately and change your password.
Keep Recovery Options Updated
Ensure your email and phone number are current. They are used for password recovery and security alerts. Losing access to your email makes recovery difficult.
Log Out on Shared Devices
Always log out on public or shared computers. Close the browser completely. Avoid "Remember Me" on devices that are not yours.
Report Suspicious Activity
If you notice unusual activity like unauthorized course enrollments or profile changes, report it to Algorithm Institute support immediately.
